Scheduler is a free macOS application that enables you to create events or alerts and which can automatically launch applications, documents or scripts at any given time. It comes with various general, launch and alert options that you can configure to suit your own needs.
The application sports an intuitive and easy-to-use main window where you can view your scheduled items in a hierarchical list, a simple list or in a calendar. Moreover, the top toolbar allows you to create a new alert / event and access the most common actions.
The settings in the configuration window for the alerts include options to set the name, date and time, reminder text and settings to repeat at a given interval, to select the sound, warning time, to configure the snooze feature and to activate it between two time intervals.
Furthermore, the windows where you can set apps, documents and scripts to launch allow you to choose the item to be launched and the application to launch the item with, besides the other scheduling options. Launch options are also included: at computer startup, after a period of inactivity or at a certain date and time.
Other general features include the ability to defer each alert / event, to search events from a find bar at the bottom of the main window, to delete and sort entries by clicking on column names, to activate / deactivate entries and to sort them into folders.
