An all-in-one software installer that helps you with the deployment of the Pimcore application
Bitnami Pimcore Stack is a multiplatform and free graphical software, an all-in-one installer that allows anyone to easily and quickly install the Pimcore web-based application and all of its runtime dependencies (Apache, MySQL, PHP) on desktop computers or laptops. It is distributed as native installers, cloud images, a virtual appliance and Docket container.
What is Pimcore?
Pimcore is an open source, platform-independent and freely distributed web-based application that has been designed from the ground up to act as a CEM (Customer Engagement Management) and CXM (Customer Experience Management) solution for small and medium-sized businesses.
Installing Bitnami Pimcore Stack
To install the Pimcore application on your GNU/Linux computer, download the package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit and 64-bit) from Softpedia’s dedicated download section above, save it locally, make it executable, double click it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run Pimcore in the cloud
In addition to installing Pimcore on your personal computer, you can also run it in the cloud, thanks to Bitnami’s pre-built cloud images that support both Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers. In addition, you can run Pimcore on Bitnami’s own cloud platform.
Virtualize Pimcore or use the Docker container
Another great way to run Pimcore without installing it, is to virtualize it, as Bitnami provides a virtual appliance based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) release of Ubuntu Linux and designed to be compatible with the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software. A Pimcore Docker container will also be available for download on the project’s website.
The Bitnami Pimcore Module
Besides the Bitnami Pimcore Stack product reviewed on this page, Bitnami also offers a slim solution for deploying the Pimcore application on top of an existing Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP), Binami MAMP (Mac, Apache, MySQL and PHP) or Bitnami WAMP (Windows, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stacks, which can be downloaded separately on Softpedia.
