A module for the Bitnami Mantis Stack, which greatly simplifies the installation of Mantis
Bitnami Mantis Module is a cross-platform and freely distributed software project, a module that can be used on top of a Bitnami LAMP, WAMP or MAMP stack, specially designed for the Mantis web-based application. It is supported on any GNU/Linux distribution, as well as on the Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
What is Mantis?
Mantis is an open source and complete bug-tracking system that run on top of a web server and includes attractive features, such as role-based access controls, built-in reporting, changelog support, and much more.
Installing Bitnami Mantis Module
Just like the Bitnami Mantis Stack product, Bitnami Mantis Module is distributed as native installers built using the BitRock InstallBuilder tool and designed for GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. To install this Mantis module on top of your Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack, you will first need to download the package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), make it executable, run it and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Virtualize Mantis or run it on the cloud
Thanks to Bitnami, users can also virtualize Mantis using the virtual appliance based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) release of the Ubuntu Linux operating system and designed to be compatible with Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software, as well as to run Mantic on the cloud using Bitnami’s pre-build cloud images for Amazon ECS or Windows Azure cloud hosting providers.
The Bitnami Mantis Stack
Besides the Bitnami Mantis Module product reviewed here, Bitnami offers an all-in-one solution that greatly simplifies the deployment of the Mantis bug-tracking system on personal computers, called Bitnami Mantis Stack, which can be downloaded for free via Softpedia or directly from the project’s homepage (see link below for details).
