Unobtrusive macOS application that can place information about your system, status, and network on your desktop, underneath all other apps
Particulars is a minimalist yet very efficient macOS application that offers you the possibility to see details about your system’s configuration, status, and network connection without having to launch various system utilities.
Bring together various details about your system
Upon launch, Particulars scans your computer and automatically places on your desktop, underneath all other apps, relevant information about your Mac. Via the app’s Preferences window you get to select the detail level: hardware, status, network, or all interfaces.
As a result, by simply going back to the desktop you get to see the computer name and model, the serial number, the CPU info, the RAM size, the graphics card model, the operating system, the current user name, and the Mac’s uptime.
Moreover, you can see how much free space there is left on the disk drive, but also aspects related to your network connection (MAC, IPv4, DHCP, IPv6, router, DNS, or Nat IP). Noteworthy is that all this information can be easily placed on the clipboard and shared with others.
Run the app as a service and customize the display mode
Particulars comes with a user customizable system-wide hotkey that enables you to launch its Preferences window without going through the app’s menus. What’s more, there is a hotkey for copying the system info on the clipboard.
At the same time, you have the option to hide the Particulars Dock icon, which means that the app can run in the background without cluttering your Mac in any way.
However, for best results, you should keep the left top corner of your desktop’s screen clean to be able to read the information displayed by Particulars. Take into consideration that you get to change the preferred display, drop the text shadow, or adjust the text size and shade.
Worth mentioning is that Particulars will constantly monitor your system’s status and reflects the changes in real time.
