A match-three puzzle game set in Ancient Rome where your job is to bring back an old settlement to the glory it once had
Match-three games are undoubtedly one of the most addictive game genres out on the market today, and they don’t seem to lose any of the momentum they’ve gathered.
As such, they’s now appeared on pretty much any gaming platform, from PCs, to consoles and mobile.
One such game is Jewels of Rome: Match gems to restore the city, and while the name is a real mouth full, it pretty much says what you’ll be doing while playing.
As far as the premise goes, you’ve been appointed the governor over an old Roman settlement that is now decrepit and in ruins, and your job is to bring it back to its former glory, befitting of a Roman city!
As far as the gameplay goes, this entire story based in ancient history is just one big excuse to play match-three games, with your objective changing based on what you need to do in order to make the city grow.
For example, you have to unlock a farm to produce food, but you have to clear away the dirt first, and that translates in you clearing certain areas of the game board that are covered in dirt.
Hundreds of levels to play
Your main goal is to reconstruct an impressive settlement that’s worthy of legends, thwart Cassius’ evil machinations and ensure that fortune favors your citizens once again.
Once you’ve finished the city, there will be plenty of daily missions left for you to play, so you don’t have to worry about finishing this lovely game and having to look for another one any time soon.
For the glory of Rome
Jewels of Rome: Match gems to restore the city manages to blend city building and match-three games in an extremely entertaining way, and it will certainly keep you glued to your gaming device for a good couple of hours.
