Google Fi is an attempt by Google to take all the major wireless networks and mobile carriers and unite them under a single umbrella. Imagine going from one country to another and never worrying about rates and data costs. People just pay a single fee to Google, and the application does the rest.
Google already has quite a few partners for this project, including Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Three, but more are bound to join. The user just has to pay a monthly subscription and the application will take care of everything else, switching seamlessly between various providers.
It’s worth noting that unless users subscribe to Project Fi, they won’t be able to use the app.
- Travel the world and don’t worry about mobile costs
