Scan your system drives and find traces of lost or deleted files, then recover them effortlessly with this intuitive and powerful program
Losing data is a common problem for almost everyone who uses a computer. Accidents such as power failures or virus attacks can send your precious files into oblivion, but so can a failed boot drive or even a defective software that damages a disk partition. More often than not, you’ll purposefully delete your data, only to realize that you still needed it.
Still, you probably know by now that there are many data recovery programs that you can use in hopes of getting your files back. Today, we’re going to take a look at a program called Disk Drill.
Easy-to-use data recovery app
One of the first things you notice about Disk Drill is that it’s pretty intuitive. From the main interface, you get to select the drive you want to scan, the recovery method, and then you’re good to go. It’s really that simple, and the minimalistic efficient design doesn’t allow you to get lost in all the features.
You can opt for a quick scan or a deep scan; the latter will obviously take a lot of time, but it allows the program to really drill for that lost data you’re so desperate to find. You can also choose to search for lost partitions, or to allocate existing data – a procedure that can help you find files that weren’t deleted but can’t be seen in File Explorer.
Disk Drill can also offer you data protection; by activating the Recovery Vault tool for certain folders, you can make the files a lot easier to recover if you happen to delete them. You can also use Disk Drill to create a backup of a disk or a partition, but also save the results of a scan as a disk image.
Since it can accurately read most file systems and restore over 400 file formats, it’s easy to recommend Disk Drill as a powerful and efficient data recovery program.
