Bitnami Roundcube Stack is a multiplatform, easy-to-use, easy-to-install and free software project that provides an one-click install solution for the Roundcube web-based IMAP Webmail client application.
What is Roundcube?
Roundcube is an open source, browser-based multilingual IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) client that features an application-like user interface. It provide MIME support, folder manipulation, address book, spell checking and message searching. Above all that, Roundcube comes with a very beautiful and modern interface to read and send e-mail messages from virtually anywhere.
Installing Bitnami Roundcube Stack
To install the Roundcube stack on your desktop computer or laptop using the native installers provided by Bitnami for the GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems, you will have to grab the file the corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit and 64-bit are supported), run it and follow the instruction provided on the screen.
Run Roundcube on the cloud
In addition to installing Roundcube on your computer using the Bitnami Roundcube Stack product, you can also deploy on the cloud using the pre-built cloud images offered by Bitnami for the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting services.
Virtualize Roundcube or use the Docker container
Those of you who just want to use Roundcube on a virtual machine, can do so by downloading Bitnami’s VM image for the VirtualBox and VMware virtualization software, based on the latest stable (LTS) release of Ubuntu. Additionally, it is possible to deploy Roundcube as a Docker container (more details can be found on the project’s site).
