An installer that greatly simplifies the installation of Review Board and its runtime dependencies
Bitnami Review Board Stack is a multiplatform and free software project that greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the Review Board web-based application and its runtime dependencies on desktop computers and laptops. It can be deployed using native installers, Ubuntu-based virtual appliance and cloud images or a Docker container.
What is Review Board?
Review Board is a free, powerful and platform-independent web-based code review tool that offers developers an easy way to handle code reviews. It scales well from small projects to large companies and offers a variety of tools to take much of the stress and time out of the code review process.
Installing Bitnami Review Board Stack
The Bitnami Review Board Stack product is distributed mainly as native installers, which have been created using BitRock’s cross-platform installer tool, designed for all GNU/Linux distributions, as well as for the Microsoft Windows operating systems. Please note that the Mac OS X platform is not supported at the moment.
To install the Review Board application and its requirements on your personal computer, you must download the package that corresponds to your PC’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), run it and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Run Review Board in the cloud
Thanks to Bitnami, users will be able to run Review Board in the cloud by using a pre-built cloud image for the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers, as well as with their own cloud hosting platform.
The Review Board virtual appliance and Docker container
Besides running Review Board in the cloud or installing it on desktop computers or laptops, you can also virtualize it using Bitnami’s virtual appliance, based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) release of the Ubuntu Linux distribution, designed for the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX, ESXi virtualization software. A Review Board Docker container will also be available for download on the project’s homepage.
