An installer that greatly simplifies the installation of ResourceSpace and its runtime dependencies
Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack is an all-in-one, freely distributed and multiplatform software project that simplifies the deployment of the ResourceSpace application and its runtime dependencies on real hardware. It can be deployed using native installers, a virtual appliance, cloud images, a Docker container or modules for Bitnami’s MAMP, WAMP and LAMP stacks.
What is ResourceSpace?
ResourceSpace is a web-based, free, open source digital asset management system which has been designed to give your content creators easy and fast access to print and web ready assets. Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack includes a preconfigured version of ResourceSpace and all of its runtime dependencies, including Apache, MySQL and PHP.
Installing Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack
Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack’s native installers were packaged using BitRock’s cross-platform installer tool. It is supported under the Linux, Microsoft Windows and Apple’s Mac OS X operating systems. Both 64-bit (recommended) and 32-bit computers are supported at this time.
To install the ResourceSpace application and its requirements on your personal computer, you’ll have to download the file that corresponds to your PC’s hardware architecture, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run ResourceSpace in the cloud
In addition to install the ResourceSpace application on personal computers, you can run it in the cloud, thanks to Bitnami’s pre-build cloud images for the Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting providers.
Virtualize ResourceSpace or use the Docker container
It is also possible to virtualize the ResourceSpace and its runtime dependencies on the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software, thanks to Bitnami’s virtual appliance based on the latest stable release of the Ubuntu Linux distribution.
The Bitnami ResourceSpace Module
Besides the Bitnami ResourceSpace Stack product reviewed here, you can also deploy the ResourceSpace application on the Bitnami LAMP, MAMP and WAMP stacks, by using the Bitnami ResourceSpace Module product, which is distributed for free on Softpedia.
