Bitnami Magento Stack is a free software project that greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the Magento e-commerce system, as well as of its runtime dependencies. It can be deployed using native installers, cloud images, virtual machine images, as LAMP modules, as well as a Docker container.

Installing Bitnami Magento Stack
Bitnami Magento Stack is distributed primarily as native installers, which have been created using BitRock’s cross-platform installer tool, allowing users to easily install Magento on their desktop computers or laptops. To install Magento on your PC, download the package the corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (64-bit or 32-bit), run it and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Run Magento on the cloud
Thanks to Bitnami, users are now able to run their own Magento stack server on the cloud with their hosting platform or by using a pre-built image for Windows Azure or Amazon EC2 cloud hosting services.
Virtualize Magento or use the Docker container
In addition to deploying Magento on the cloud or on personal computers, it is possible to virtualize it using Bitnami’s virtual appliance based on the latest stable release of the Ubuntu Linux operating system and designed for the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software. A Magento Docker container will also be provided for free on the project’s homepage.
